Melon

A honeydew has a round to slightly oval shape, typically 15-22 cm (5.9-8.7 in) long. Generally, it varies in weight from 1.8 to 3.6 kg (4.0 to 7.9 pounds). The flesh is generally pale green, while the smooth shell varies from greenish to yellow. It has seeds.

This fruit grows best in semi-arid climates and is harvested on the basis of maturity, not size. Maturity may be difficult to judge, but it is based on the background color that varies from greenish white (immature) to creamy yellow (ripe). The quality is also determined by the almost spherical shape with a surface free of scars or defects.

Corn

Corn is an annual plant with a great vegetative development. Its knotty and solid stem develops on fifteen to thirty elongated and scorching leaves. It is a monoecious plant. In other words, each one carries male and female flowers.

The crop requires a temperature from 18 to 26ºC and a good water supply through all its vegetative cycle, mainly during flowering. The crop requires soils of intermediate type, with good drainage, loose, aerated, flat or slightly broken. Clay soils are not advisable for this product due to their high humidity retention since this condition diminishes the air in the soil, essential for the development of the plant.

Sowing Conditions : Dry Pacific weather in two seasons: during May, with the beginning of the rainy season and in the second or third week of August. The location of the company corresponds to this area.

Honey

The production of honey is obtained by the bees that are owned by the company. Our batch contains about 450 boxes with bees. They are used in pollination and honey production.

Other Uses of bees: They are used in pollination in melon and watermelon crops.
